I am a Seattle native and grew up in Edmonds, Washington, with my younger brother. I currently live in the Mill Creek / Snohomish area with my high school sweetheart and our 2 young and energetic boys, Kaiden and Landyn. We are an avid outdoors’ family and enjoy camping, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking – anything outdoors really! There is nothing better than spending summer with your family in the Pacific Northwest, other than having a longer summer!
While obtaining a Business Administration degree from Western Washington University, I had insurance on the brain. There is over 100 years of combined insurance knowledge between my mom, brother, aunts, uncles and myself – I guess you could say I was born into insurance. So upon graduation I accepted a job in Safeco’s claim department. During this time I realized my passion for helping and caring for people and knew my next step would be transitioning into the agency side. In 2004 I did just that, and accepted a position at Forest Park Insurance, which wasn’t unexpected as my father-in-law owned the agency. Oh, did I mention insurance runs in the family? My father-in-law has over 40 years’ experience, my wife’s great grand-father started his agency in Pennsylvania back in 1902.
My wife and I purchased the agency in 2011 and operate as a family, treating our customers as family and supporting other locally owned family businesses. We look forward to working together, building a long lasting relationship and having a little fun in the process!
We are your Local. Reliable. Family insurance agency!
I was born and raised in Edmonds, Washington. My husband, Kenny, and I have two young and energetic boys, Kaiden and Landyn. I really did marry the boy next door! 😉 We enjoy being an active family, camping, biking, fishing and exploring the Pacific Northwest as much as we can! My father Don Mather was the previous agency owner who retired in 2011. My passion is for helping others in any way I can. Being a Geriatric Nurse for over 17 years has made my experience transitioning into the Owner/Administrator role a smooth one. Meeting new people, developing relationships and supporting the community we live in is my passion. As local business owners we truly appreciate what it takes to make a business succeed and support other local businesses any chance we can. We are local and buy local! Family and community are very important to us which is why we sponsor a local charity every year with our “Spread the Word” campaign. You are always welcome to stop by and say “hi”, we even have a small kid play area set up. We are your Local. Reliable. Family owned independent insurance agency!
I have lived in Snohomish County for most my life. I grew up in Everett and Lake Goodwin area. I enjoyed riding jet ski’s on the lake but spent most of my time at a horse stable in Silvana. Riding horses was my passion and I showed 4-H up through high school. I now reside in Snohomish and spend many hours out at the North Snohomish Little League fields watching my son play ball. If my son is not playing baseball we love a good Mariners or Aqua Sox game you or an outing at the Woodland Park Zoo.
I started in this industry at an auto body shop which got me interested in the insurance side of things. I have worked for Safeco as a claims coordinator, billing and policy servicing representative and casualty adjuster. I worked for AIG as a claims adjuster and estimator for several years. Throughout my 20 year insurance career, I’ve become pretty well rounded by working in: collision repair facilities, agencies, carriers, and lender service insurance tracking.
I’m excited to be a part of the Forest Park Family, to join a wonderful team and to serve the multiple generations of clients here!
I grew up in Spokane where I was active in all things “movement and music”, and still am! I Graduated from WSU and began my Insurance Career at Safeco Insurance working in Customer Service as an agent, CSR Trainer, and various Unit Manager roles. Safeco is also where I met my husband of 23 years. Shortly after getting married, we moved to the West side of the mountains and raised our children, Brevin and Molly, who are now teenagers and driving on the roads with you. Our auto insurance rates cry themselves to sleep at night.
I “pushed pause” on my Insurance career to raise my children and picked up a hobby as a fitness instructor and eventually as a traveling US Instructor Trainer, fitness workshop facilitator and Regional Training Consultant helping club owners run programs and build teams. (This is a weird thing to explain to people at parties.) Working in fitness tapped in to my desire to help people, which is what I always loved about the work in my various roles at Safeco. Now that my children have AARP cards, I have “pushed play” on my Insurance career once again and look forward to the opportunity to connect with you and make each experience with us a positive one. I strive to truly do what is in the best interest of you and your family now and as life changes. I look forward to working with you!
